A38 slip road to close this weekend for essential work

National Highways is advising drivers that the A38 Marsh Mills eastbound entry slip road will be closed this weekend for essential maintenance work.

During the closure, from 8pm on Friday 10 September to 6am on Monday 13 September, traffic will be diverted via Manadon or Plympton/Deep Lane junction to join the A38 eastbound carriageway.

Vegetation clearance at Marsh Mills

Work to remove vegetation on Marsh Mills roundabout and Plymouth Road will begin next week.

The vegetation is obscuring signs, trapping litter and encroaching on the highway and needs to be removed to improve safety and visibility. Work will also include clearing scrub and returning the central reservation area to gravel.
