Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle on the A38 between the Haye Road and Saltram overbridges, Plymouth, at 7.15am on Thursday 13 October 2016

Motorists were facing severe delays this lunchtime after a pedestrian was killed on the A38.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal collision at South Brent.

At 5.45pm on Friday 1st January 2016 a report was received by police of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A38 at Dean Prior, near Buckfastleigh.

Work to replace Merafield Bridge to start this autumn

Highways England is to begin a £6.4 million project to replace Merafield Bridge on the A38 at Plympton this autumn.

The new concrete bridge will be 80 metres long, 11.3 metres wide and made of 2,503 tonnes of concrete and 401 tonnes of steel. It will be constructed alongside the old bridge.
