Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Anstis Street and Francis Street in the Stonehouse area of Plymouth.

At around 5.40pm on Tuesday 15th August, a 42-year-old man was assaulted by three men who subsequently fled the scene.

Flat fire and gas leak prompts evacuation

A number of homes were evacuated on Monday evening following the discovery of a gas leak in a block of flats in the Stonehouse area of Plymouth.

The Fire Service was called to a report of a fire within a flat on Stoke Road shortly after 8.30pm.

Conservation works planned for medieval Stonehouse wall

Plymouth City Council has been awarded £210,000 by English Heritage to carry out works to repair and protect a medieval wall in Stonehouse.
