Almost £60,000 of illegal tobacco seized

Illegal tobacco worth almost £60,000 has been confiscated from retailers across the region following a series of operations.

Led by Devon, Plymouth, Somerset, and Torbay Trading Standards and supported by HM Revenue and Customs and the police, the seizures were part of a three-day operation to disrupt the sale and supply of illegal tobacco.

Diabetes UK looking for swimmers in Devon to make a splash in charity challenge

People from Devon are being invited to dive into a sponsored swimming challenge and raise vital funds for Diabetes UK.

Swim22 runs between 22 July and 22 October and involves swimming a total of 22 miles – the equivalent of crossing the English Channel. Participants can take on the challenge at their own pace, accumulating the miles across the course of the 12 weeks.
