Hundreds of children aged 0–5 across Devon and Dorset have taken part in Water Babies’ Splashathon events over recent weeks, raising over £35,000 for Children’s Alliance and the baby loss charity Tommy’s.
The themed swimming sessions saw little ones dressed in costumes as they showed off their water safety skills in locations including Exeter, Bournemouth and Taunton.
Local Water Babies have been busy making a splash for Derriford Hospital’s Maternity Unit and have raised a total of £500.00.
The money was raised through sponsored beach party themed swimming lessons, which had babies doing the limbo under a woggle, playing beach volley ball and racing rafts across the pool!
