Argyle's 2013/14 fixture list is revealed

Plymouth Argyle's League Two fixture list for the 2013/14 season has been announced. The Pilgrims will begin their campaign with a trip to Southend on Saturday 3 August.

Pilgrims face Birmingham in Capital One Cup draw

Plymouth Argyle have been drawn away to Birmingham City in the 1st round of the Capital One Cup.

The Pilgrims will travel to the Championship club's St Andrews ground in the week beginning 5 August.

The Midlands club finished 12th in the Championship last season, two divisions above Plymouth.

Alessandra set for Sheridan reunion as he joins Argyle

Striker Lewis Alessandra is set to become Argyle manager John Sheridan's second summer signing.

The 24-year-old was offered a new contract by League 2 rivals Morecambe at the end of last season, but has instead opted to join the Pilgrims on a two-year deal, say the Pilgrims.

The Gaffer: The Trials And Tribulations Of A Football Manager is described as “a unique, personal insight into the world of transfer deals, pre-match team-talks, training sessions, away games, injuries and team building.”
