Argyle present image of new grandstand design

“It will make Home Park the best stadium in the division and it’s something to really look forward to." So says Plymouth Argyle manager John Sheridan speaking to the club's website about the plans to build a state-of-the-art new grandstand.

Today the club are unveiling a computer graphic of the stand which may be open for the 2014-15 season.

Argyle owner, James Brent hopes the grandstand will help provide a platform for the side to eventually climb to the Championship, English football's second tier. Brent predicts the stand could increase revenue by about £1 million per year.

The bill is expected to come in at around the £10 million mark and the stand would provide nearly 5,000 seats, increasing Home Park's capacity to nearly 18,000.
