FREE craft making days: Fearsome Feasts

Halloween fun for the family this half-term, 25 & 26 October 2018.

Be a crafty cook at our free half-term making days with activities for all ages, based on the current exhibition, 'Plate Up'. Have fun modelling faux food for a spooky banquet… it may look good enough to eat - but don’t dare try it!

Materials provided, donations welcomed. Under 12’s supervised please. Part of the Family Arts and Family Learning Festival.

10.30am-12.30 & 1.30-4pm both days. FREE, drop-in.

Family workshop: Memory Books With Let’s Make Art

Join Let's Make Art in making a personalised memory book to collect everyday treasure in. Each family will be guided in making a book complete with an image of its owner.

We'll be exploring the ways people archive their everyday lives and drawing inspiration from the exhibition in the gallery, Collected Shadows: The Archive of Modern Conflict.

Let's Make Art organise high-quality events and provide a wide variety of well-resourced art workshops that are enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

Great British Tennis Weekend hits Plymouth

A number of tennis venues in and around Plymouth will open their courts to offer free tennis to kids, families and adults this Saturday and Sunday as part of the Lawn Tennis Association’s (LTA) Great British Tennis Weekend.

The Great British Tennis Weekend is a nationwide campaign to get more people to play tennis by offering a variety of tennis activities for free.

To celebrate the 2017 Plymouth Contemporary, we’re offering families the most fun they’ve ever had with a cardboard box! We provide all the ingredients you'll need to make an outlandish and extraordinary costume fit for a fantasy world. The only limit is your imagination.

Family event: Colour Explosion

Use the collage and colourful works in the Thinking Tantra exhibition as a starting point to create your own multi-coloured works of art using all sorts of materials. Led by staff from the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, there will also be objects from their collections to inspire you.

Get Creative - Spooky Halloween Fun Factory!

Join us at Devon Guild this half term and Get Creative for 2 free fun days of drop in Halloween activities. Use materials provided to design a creepy conveyor belt of witches, wizards and ghosties for our spooky factory.
