Eleanor’s marathon bid to help homeless project

It will be a family affair when Plymouth support worker Eleanor Burston runs 26 miles in a bid to help the city’s homeless people.

For Eleanor will be joined by dad Tim and sister Isobel when she takes on the Edinburgh Marathon in May to raise money for the Somewhere Safe to Stay project run by BCHA, a housing charity which has been helping people for more than 50 years.

Tom Daley wins World Series event in Edinburgh

Plymouth's young diving hero Tom Daley has won the 10m platform final at the World Series event in Edinburgh this evening (Sunday 21 April).

In only his second major event since clinching a bronze medal in the Olympics, the 18-year-old beat a field that included the man he pushed into fourth place at London 2012 last year, the Russian Victor Minibaev who finished second.
