Man charged with Arson at Cornish Pirates Ground

A man has been charged with arson in relation to a fire at the Pirates Rugby Club in Penzance on Friday evening (3 January).

The fire started at around 8pm at the Mennaye Fiel and spread through a large marquee used for bars and hospitality.

Commuters rail fares over £5,000 a year

Some Commuters could see their travel costs rise to over £5,000 a year as the rail fares increase nationwide.

Industry organisation, the Rail Delivery Group, have said that increase is the smallest increase in the last four years but campaigners have said the fares are still rising three times faster than average incomes.
