Firefighters return to work after latest strike

Firefighters are returning to work in Plymouth and around the South West after the latest in a series of strikes by the Fire Brigades Union (FBU).

The two-hour walkout took place between 6.00am to 8.00am on Monday 4 November.

Body found in hunt for missing Chudleigh man

Police investigating the disappearance of missing Chudleigh man Mike Vincent discovered the body of a man in Chudleigh on Sunday (3rd November) morning at around 11am.

The man has not been formally identified but the family of Mr Vincent have been informed.

Flood alert for Plymouth as heavy rain and strong winds return

The Met Office has warned of the risk of flooding as heavy rain and strong winds - possibly gale force - hit the South West during Sunday night.

A number of areas of Plymouth have already reported flooding, including the A374 Pottery Road in Devonport between the Tamar Wharf junction and the Torpoint Ferry junction. Drivers are being warned to approach with care.
