Stagecoach Gold takes to the road
- Monday 30 September sees fleet of 9 luxury buses begin service

Monday 30 September sees the start of Stagecoach’s brand new luxury bus service, Stagecoach Gold, which connects the English Riviera and Totnes with either Plymouth or Dartmouth.
To celebrate the first day of operation, there will be an official launch event taking place at 11am at Steamers Quay Car Park in Totnes where Michael Watson, Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, will cut the ribbon on one of the brand new vehicles.
Michael commented: “I can’t wait to finally see these buses out on the road - feedback from our Gold roadshows has been overwhelmingly positive so our drivers are looking forward to welcoming lots of new customers aboard.”
The brand new £2m Stagecoach Gold fleet will run 7 days a week up to every 30 minutes between Torquay, Paignton and Totnes and then up to every hour to either Plymouth or Dartmouth. The luxury vehicles feature leather seats, extra legroom, free wifi and a dedicated team of ‘Gold’ drivers who have their own smart and distinctive uniform.
Stagecoach Gold is also characterised by its ‘Customer Promise’ which enshrines the service standards customers can expect from the company, vehicles and drivers.
