First-ever Fantastical Magic Festival coming to Dartington Hall this August Bank Holiday
A brand-new family festival is coming to South Devon this August Bank Holiday, as the first-ever Fantastical Magic Festival takes over Dartington Hall from 28th–31st August 2026.
Families will be invited to explore four magical realms, meet wizards, fairies, mermaids and other fantastical characters, take part in an interactive Spell Card Quest and enjoy live entertainment throughout the day.
The programme includes Westcountry Falconry, reptiles from Fangs n Feathers, Bubbles Pixie, wandering magician Dan Brazier, live music, Morris dancing, stiltwalkers and face painting, with different entertainment taking place each day.
There will also be magical games, a Fancy Dress Parade, an Enchanted Makers Market, food and drink, plus optional creative workshops including wizardry, spell casting and magical crafts.
Advance family tickets for two adults and two children are just £30, with online tickets 15% cheaper than buying at the gate.
Jo Macaskie, Owner of Miss Ivy Events, said: “Miss Ivy Events cannot wait to bring you the first of our Fantastical Festivals at the stunning Dartington Hall. The event is all about spending quality time as a family and stepping out of the real world for a day!”
With Dartington Hall’s historic buildings, woodland and grounds providing the backdrop, organisers hope the festival will offer families a completely different kind of Bank Holiday day out.
