B-Bar is bringing Cuba to Plymouth with a FREE Cuba party.

The party starts at 10pm on 9 July.

Latin tunes from the resident DJ playing salsa, meringue, bachata, son and more will go down nicely with a variety of cocktails.

Entry is free.

The Hot Club of Stonehouse is coming to B-Bar on 8 July.

The band bring the gypsy jazz of 1930’s Paris to present day blighty.

Their authentic sound is uniquely anointed with the vocals of the divine Becky Brine.

B-Bar’s popular monthly stand up night is hitting the stage on Wednesday 6 July.

The comedy night features some of the best comics on circuit with upcoming talents too.

The night starts at 8pm and tickets are £10 in advance available from the B-Bar daily from 11am.

Thomas Ford

Electrifying blues talent in the form of this harp-playing, hard blues singing solo performer. Born in a field 20-something years ago, Thomas Ford is a blues shouter, a guitar picker and a harmonica fire-breather. His energetic live shows have taken him from Bodmin to Berlin, his records have sold from the Eastern Block to the East Indies and he has been played on radio shows from Luton to Laos. Mixing delta blues traditions with nu-blues songwriting, this one man trio has been hailed as “The rising star of British blues”.

Jay Tamkin learned his craft in the best possible environment after spending 6 years with the Devon Youth Jazz Orchestra as principal bass player, a position that enabled him to combine musical theory and serious practice with such musical heavy weights as Jools Holland, Dennis Rollins and Roy Ayers.

It is the combination of his musical confidence, a surprising mature song writing style and a willingness to explore musical boundaries that has made his music and style come to life.
