Over £250,000 conned out of Plymouth residents

Crafty con artists have managed to scam £255,000 out of 146 people in Plymouth.

Trading Standards have visited these people as a result of receiving a list of over 650 potential scam victims that have been targeted in the city. But officers are warning this is just the tip of the iceberg with only five per cent of these crimes actually being reported.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious sexual assault in Plymouth which happened in the car park behind the Walkabout pub on Union Street between 11pm and 11.30pm on Monday 27th June.

A jobs fair is being held this month to help Veterans back into work following their return to ‘Civvy Street.’
