'Wally's Dance Party' Charity Tea Dance

An afternoon of dancing to music by 'Wally's Dance Party' will be held to raise funds for the South West Mesothelioma Support Group, whilst at the same time raising awareness of asbestos related cancer.

The event is due to be organised by mesothelioma patient Wally Wright and members of Mesothelioma and Asbestos Awareness Plymouth and South West (MAAPS).

Tickets cost £6.00 (to include refreshments) and can be purchased on the door. There will also be a raffle.

Plymouth Guildhall to get new boilers

Plymouth’s Guildhall is to get new boilers as part of an ongoing programme to make the Council’s buildings more efficient.

Old, inefficient oil-fired boilers are to be replaced with gas boilers and the heat they generate will also heat the Council House, once it has been disconnected from the main part of the Civic Centre.
