First phase of Sidmouth flood alleviation scheme officially opened

A new flood alleviation scheme in Sidmouth has been officially opened.

The first phase of the £1 million Devon County Council scheme has been completed, installing a new drainage system on Station Road to divert surface water away from properties and into a newly formed amphitheatre in the grounds of the Knowle.
