People living with Parkinson’s in Torquay and the surrounding areas of Devon are being invited to join a new Pickleball event which is aiming to help more local communities live well with the condition.
Devon veterans with mobility issues attributable to their service are now able to apply for support from the reinstated Veterans’ Mobility Fund (VMF).
Administration of the life-changing fund was awarded to Help for Heroes and Blesma by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (OVA) and the Armed Forces Covenan t Trust Fund in September, 2023.
The completion of seven coastal access schemes along parts of the South West Coast Path, and the addition of 40 extra walks on its website means that now, for the first time, thousands of people with limited mobility and those with young children in pushchairs are able to enjoy stretches of the breathtaking National Trail that were once impassable.
