Graduate's robotic prosthetic scoops national award

An inventor who began developing prosthetic hands while studying at Plymouth University has been named the 2015 winner of the National UK James Dyson Award.

Joel Gibbard graduated in 2011 with a First-Class degree in BEng (Hons) Robotics, and has since developed an advanced robotic hand through his company Open Bionics.
