UK Stroke Forum have revealed that compounds found in cannabis could be beneficial to stroke victims. It has been suggested, after research was conducted at the University of Nottingham, that chemical comounds found in cannabis may help to reduce brain damage following a stroke. The findings showed that the compounds could reduce the size of a stroke and improve neurological function.

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of possessing drugs after the car he was driving was involved in a collision in Plympton.

Officers were called to Plymouth Road, Plympton this morning (2 December) at 9.40 after a silver Volkswagen Golf had collided with a lamppost.

Three men sentenced for failed ecstasy plot

Jon Curtis, 41, Mohammed Habib, 30, and Samson MacNab, 22, all from the city, were found guilty of conspiracy last week after a seven-week trial.

The men planned to manufacture and sell large quantities of ecstasy pills along with a fourth man known as ‘Mr T’ for legal reasons.

They were jailed for 10 years each, with Mr T due to be sentenced later
