Rowan House officially opens

On Wednesday staff and patients gathered together to officially open Rowan House, following the relocation of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s Dermatology and Pain Management services.

Trust Chairman, Richard Crompton, launched the event with the cutting of a ribbon and praised the teams for their successful re-establishment in their new home.

Funded life jackets on order for Plymouth’s fishing industry

Fishing boat crews who live and work in Plymouth will be safer at sea, thanks to a project designed by Plymouth City Council with support from local fishing industry.

The Council has been awarded £77,000 from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Maritime Management Organisation for the scheme to help reduce loss of life and accidents within the local fishing industry....

Police appeal for witnesses after elderly woman dies following Plymouth crash

An 86-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle collision in Plymouth last week.

Emergency services were called at 2.30pm on Thursday 28 September after a silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with a wall on Royal Navy Avenue in Keyham.

Both occupants from the car were taken to Derriford Hospital. The driver, a 63-year-old woman from Kingsbridge, sustained minor injuries....
