Following an incident in Devon when a teenage boy and his dog suffered severe burns after lighting a barbecue with white spirit which created a fire ball, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue are reminding people of the damgers of using flammable liquids to ignite stubborn coals.

Fire and Rescue Service cut teenage girl stuck out of baby swing

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to a location in Manadon Park, Tavistock Road in the Manadon area of Plymouth yesterday (Tuesday 20 August), after receiving a report of a teenage girl stuck in a baby swing.

One fire appliance from Camels Head was sent to the scene.

The fire crew used hydraulic cutters to release the girl from the swing.

Firefighters take on John o'Groats to Lands End cycle ride
