Come and sing a selection of choruses from Handel’s celebrated 1746 oratorio Judas Maccabaeus.

“Arguably Haydn’s greatest single composition”, as declared by his chief biographer, H.C. Robbins Landon, Haydn composed this highly dramatic and exciting work in 1798. Titled Missa in Angustiis (Mass for troubled times), it was later nicknamed Nelson Mass following a performance attended by Admiral Nelson in 1800.

Choral support for Brain Tumour Research

The University of Plymouth Choral Society has raised vital funds for the University’s Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence at a signing workshop.

The choir, led by musical director Simon Ible, sang favourite choruses by Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach at St Paul’s Church, Yelverton.
