Work starts on major regeneration in Plymouth
Work is set to start on the transformation of a Devonport neighbourhood after LiveWest partnered with Lovell Partnerships to redevelop the site and deliver a new generation of affordable homes for the city of Plymouth.
The housing association, part of the UK’s largest provider of affordable homes, Bromford Flagship LiveWest, has now signed a contract with Lovell to redevelop the site, following planning approval and the successful relocation of all residents from the existing scheme.
The development will replace former homes at Healy Place with a mix of new affordable properties designed to meet modern housing standards and provide high-quality, energy-efficient homes for local people.
The regeneration project forms part of LiveWest's long-term commitment to investing in Plymouth and supporting the ongoing renewal of Devonport.
The scheme has secured significant funding support from Homes England and Plymouth City Council, helping bring forward the redevelopment and deliver much-needed affordable housing in the city.
Work on site will begin shortly as preparations are made to create 33 new social rented homes.
The homes will be built to modern standards, providing warm, energy-efficient accommodation for future residents while contributing to the wider regeneration of the local area.

The redevelopment follows several years of planning, consultation and engagement with residents and stakeholders.
LiveWest worked closely with customers throughout the decant process, supporting households to find alternative homes before work could begin on site.
The project supports LiveWest's wider regeneration strategy and commitment to providing more affordable homes across the South West, while investing in existing communities and creating places where people can thrive.
