Body pulled from water near Citadel

Police informed by ambulance at 3.52pm of the body of a man in the water near the citadel, Plymouth.

Falmouth Coastguard air ambulance and police to attend. Roads were closed in the area as emergency services attended.

The body was recovered from the water and was taken by ambulance to Derriford, where the 39-year-old local man was declared deceased.

His next of kin have been informed and police are currently looking into the circumstance surrounding this man’s death, but are not currently treating this death as suspicious.
