Witness appeal following Plymouth assault
Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Plymouth.
The incident happened just before 4.40pm on Monday 19 September on Mayflower Street
An officer approached a man who was believed to be wanted for an offence. The suspect allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted the officer.
Further unit support was requested and a taser was deployed. After medical checks at the scene, the man was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Police would like any witnesses to come forward. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police at 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting police log number 0620 of the 19th September.
