Man on roof leads to Drake Circus being cordoned off

Police were called at around 12:40 following concerns for the welfare of a man who was on the roof of the car park at Drakes Circus, Plymouth.

Police negotiators, officers, the street triage team and paramedics attended and cordons were set up in and around Drake Circus as police made contact with the 25-year-old man.

The man was taken into police custody at around 3pm and the cordons around parts of Drake Circus have now been removed.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience shown as we worked towards a safe resolution.
