​Body found in van in Landrake

Police are appealing to the public following the discovery of a body in Landrake, Saltash today (Friday 13th January).

Police were called to Geffery Close, Landrake, at 8.15am following concern for welfare for a man. On arrival, officers located a 35-year-old man deceased inside a silver VW Transporter van. Next of kin have been informed but formal identification has yet to have taken place.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death of the 35-year-old man found today in Landrake.

“Police are currently treating the death as unexplained but not as suspicious, and a file is to be prepared for the coroner.

“We are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has saw the silver VW Transporter van being driven or parked in the area, over the past 24 hours.

“We would also like to locate and speak to the driver or owner of a red Citroen van who is believed to have been at the location of Landrake this morning, as we believe that person may have information that could be helpful to our enquiries.”
