Prepare yourself for a party as the legendary That’ll Be The Day will be rocking into the Theatre Royal Plymouth with a brand new show this March.

That’ll Be The Day is all about nostalgia, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever. The show was established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980s and began playing regional theatres in the early 1990s.

Having delighted audiences throughout the UK for over two decades, That’ll Be The Day is back on the road in 2013, thrilling audiences with popular feel-good comedy routines and favourite hits from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

Despite performing as many as 230 shows a year across the UK, Trevor Payne (who wrote and created the show back in 1987) still directs, produces and stars in the production and rewrites the show every year.  There are over six months of planning and preparation, culminating in a month of intensive rehearsals before the show once again takes to the road.

The nation’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll show has snowballed in popularity throughout the years, attracting new audiences young and old with its unique mix of comedy routines and smash hit records from decades gone by.  Now in its 27th year of touring continuously in the UK and Europe, That’ll Be The Day is living proof that rock ‘n’ roll will never die!
