National Theatre Connections 2013

Each year the National Theatre asks ten exciting writers to create new plays which are performed by young theatre companies from all over the country. From Plymouth to Inverness and from Belfast to Norwich, National Connections celebrates great new writing for the stage and the energy, commitment and talent of young theatre-makers.

The Theatre Royal Plymouth is one of 21 venues hosting a showcase festival of these plays, with the following companies taking part:

Tower House School, Mobile Phone Show Directed by Judith Owen Milsom
Stoke Damerel Community College, We Lost Elijah Directed by Catrina Garratt
  
Wednesday 8th May  
Redruth, Ailie and the Alien Directed by Helen McGovern
Queen Elizabeths I'm Spilling My Heart Out Here Directed by Sam Carter
   
Thursday 9th May  
Young and Unique Theatre, Callington Community College What Are They Like? Directed by Jonathon Plunkett
Kingsley School We Lost Elijah Directed by Michele Borsten
  
Friday 10th May  
Dorchester Youth Theatre Don't Feed the Animals Directed by Jo Simons
Fowey Community College The Guffin Directed by Louisa Hall

Saturday 11th May  
Lyme Youth Theatre Mobile Phone Show Directed by Jo Elworthy
Young Company Ailie and the Alien Directed by Beth Shouler
