The South West Coast Path Association (SWCPA) is announcing some special offers this month which will give walkers another reason to take part in their 2014 charity event.
The Great South West Walks event is this year's initiative to raise funds to carry out improvements to the Coast Path alongside raising money for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

The South West Coast Path has been celebrated as a vital link between South West businesses at an event held at the Nare Hotel in Cornwall.
The event, which took place on 30th January, highlighted the excellent revenue the Path has generated for the tourism sector and also launched the South West Coast Path Association’s 2014 fundraising event - the Great South West Walks.
Figures released yesterday by the South West Coast Path team show that walkers using England’s longest National Trail spent around £436m during 2012, an increase of almost 15% in the past three years. The majority of this spend (76%) was attributable to staying visitors (£333.2m) and 24% (£102.9m) day visitors. This expenditure supports 9,771 full-time equivalent jobs.
The South West Coast Path at Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore, has become easier to follow and enjoy thanks to sponsorship from HolidayCottages.co.uk and the Great South West Walk.
