Block of flats evacuated after kitchen fire A block of flats was evacuated yesterday following a kitchen fire on the fourth floor. Two fire appliances from Greenbank, one from Camels Head and an aerial platform from Crownhill were mobilised. The block of flats, on Lockyer Street, the Hoe, had to be evacuated while firefighters made the building safe.
