Trevi’s much-loved Warrior Women Walk is moving to Plymouth for the first time, marking a new chapter for the annual fundraising event.

After many successful years at Burrator, Yelverton, the 2026 walk will start and finish at Mount Batten Pier on Sunday 4 October. The new route will take in Plymouth’s coastline, lakes and green spaces, bringing the event into the city and opening it up to more walkers, teams, families, friends, students and supporters.

For the first time, participants will be able to choose between a 10k route and a brand-new 5k route. The 10k walk will set off in two waves at 10am and 11am, with the 5k walk starting at 11am.

Plymouth Citybus is sponsoring Warrior Women Walk and is funding Trevi’s brand-new event T-shirts and finisher medals.  They’ll also be providing a shuttle bus between Royal Parade and Mount Batten on the day.

Amanda Greenwood, CEO of Trevi, said: “Bringing Warrior Women Walk into Plymouth is an exciting new chapter for an event that means so much to Trevi and our community. We hope the new location will encourage even more women and supporters to take part.

“Every step taken is an act of solidarity with women affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and trauma. And every pound raised helps Trevi continue providing specialist support to women across Plymouth and the South West.

“We are incredibly grateful to Plymouth Citybus for supporting and sponsoring the walk, funding our brand-new T-shirts and medals and providing sustainable travel for participants. Their continued support helps make this a memorable day for everyone taking part.”

A spokesperson for Plymouth Citybus said: “Plymouth Citybus is proud to support and sponsor Trevi’s Warrior Women Walk. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a brilliant day out and raise vital funds for Trevi’s work supporting women across the city.”

Warrior Women Walk brings the community together to raise funds and stand with women affected by violence, abuse and trauma. Last year, more than 300 walkers took part, raising almost £20,000 for Trevi.

Trevi provides specialist support for women across Plymouth and the Southwest, including women who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, homelessness, substance use and contact with the justice system.
