Blundell’s School is celebrating an excellent set of A Level results for the Class of 2026, with pupils achieving strong academic outcomes and securing exciting destinations for the next stage of their education.

This year, 75% of all grades were awarded at A*–B, with an impressive 43% at A or A*. Alongside these academic achievements, 90% of pupils secured their chosen university or apprenticeship place, reflecting the breadth of ambitions and opportunities within the year group.

The results are a testament to the hard work, determination and commitment of Blundell’s pupils, as well as the dedication and expertise of the teaching, pastoral and support staff who have encouraged and guided them throughout their time at the School.

As an academically non-selective school, Blundell’s is particularly proud of the progress represented by this year’s results. Pupils join the School with a broad range of prior attainment and are encouraged to develop academically, personally and independently, with individual ambition at the heart of their education.

These achievements sit alongside pupils’ involvement in the wider life of the School, including sport, music, drama, leadership, service and co-curricular activities. Blundell’s believes that a broad education, combining academic challenge with opportunities beyond the classroom, plays an important role in helping young people develop the confidence, resilience and character they need for life beyond school.

For the Class of 2026, A Level Results Day marks both the culmination of years of hard work and the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Pupils will now progress to universities, apprenticeships and other opportunities in the UK and beyond.

Blundell’s congratulates every member of the Class of 2026 on their achievements and wishes them every success as they take their next steps.
