Summer garden party brings community together at Radford House
Homeowners at Radford House welcomed family, friends and invited guests for an afternoon of music, games and summer celebrations as Adlington Retirement Living hosted a garden party at its retirement community in Exeter.
Last week, the event brought together people of all ages to enjoy an afternoon in the community's beautifully landscaped garden.
Guests enjoyed a live performance from local singer Florence Knight, alongside a summer barbeque prepared by David, the dedicated chef at Radford House, an ice cream cart and a selection of refreshments including Pimm's and lemonade, as well as a range of other drinks.
There was plenty of opportunity to join in the fun with giant Jenga, Corn Hole and giant noughts and crosses adding a friendly competitive spirit to the afternoon, while colourful bunting created a traditional summer garden party atmosphere.
Phil Holyoak, Sales Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: "Our garden party was a wonderful opportunity to bring homeowners together with their families, friends and guests to enjoy good food, live music and spending time together in the sunshine.
"Events like these are an important part of life at Radford House. They help create opportunities for people to socialise, make new friendships and enjoy being part of a welcoming community.”
The Radford House team, led by General Manager Kay Suckley, welcomed guests throughout the afternoon and showcased the community's range of facilities, including the homeowners' lounge, coffee lounge, restaurant, hair salon, therapy room and activities studio.
Elaine, a homeowner who recently moved to an Adlington Retirement Living community, said: "It's given us freedom, peace of mind and a lifestyle we genuinely enjoy. We can travel whenever we want to, spend time with family and friends and simply get on with enjoying life.”
Radford House offers a collection of one, two and three-bedroom retirement apartments, with shared social spaces and a 24-hour on-site support team.
