Boringdon Hall Recognised with Afternoon Tea Award of Excellence

Boringdon Hall Hotel & Spa, the enchanting Grade I listed manor on the edge of Dartmoor, has been recognised with an Award of Excellence at the Afternoon Tea Awards 2026, hosted by AfternoonTea.co.uk.

Presented at a prestigious ceremony held at Raffles London at The OWO, the Award of Excellence recognises venues that deliver the highest standards in afternoon tea service, presentation and creativity. Boringdon Hall was among just 28 venues across the UK to receive the accolade.

Judged by an independent panel of experts, the awards assess every aspect of the afternoon tea experience, from the booking process through to service, presentation and overall guest satisfaction.

Renowned for combining timeless tradition with creativity and flair, Boringdon Hall's Afternoon Tea experience features a series of carefully curated Special Editions throughout the year, inspired by the seasons, national celebrations and memorable occasions.

Guests can enjoy the classic foundations of a traditional afternoon tea, including finely cut savoury sandwiches, freshly baked plain and fruit scones served with clotted cream and preserves, and an elegant selection of handcrafted cakes and pastries. Alongside these much-loved favourites, each themed edition features bespoke creations designed exclusively for the occasion, bringing an element of surprise and discovery to every visit.

From storybook-inspired whimsy and festive celebrations to sparkling seasonal occasions and a sporting nod to Wimbledon, Boringdon Hall's Special Edition Afternoon Teas showcase the culinary creativity of the hotel's talented pastry team.
