Pantaenius UK sponsors crucial lifejackets for the Disabled Sailing Association.
Pantaenius UK, the leading Yacht and Motorboat insurer, is pleased to announce they have donated Spinlock 6D Deckvest lifejackets to Torquay based sailing charity Disabled Sailing Association (DSA).
Pantaenius UK, part of the Pantaenius Group, has provided insurance solutions for 50 years and today has offices in Plymouth and Southampton. Enjoying the water safely is at the core of the company’s ethos. This sponsorship opportunity to help support the incredible work of the DSA in this manner felt extraordinarily suitable.
The DSA is a sailing charity run for the disabled by the disabled. The aim of the charity is, wherever possible, to give everybody, no matter what their disability, the opportunity to enjoy the experience of seagoing sailing in a safe and pleasurable environment and to encourage them to be involved in an activity that many believe they are excluded from.
Crucial and a must-have for the DSA are high spec lifejackets that automatically inflate and need replacing every three years. Spinlock is a leading manufacturer of yacht and boat safety equipment. In support of the DSA, they provided Pantaenius UK with these high-performance lifejackets with distinctive Pantaenius branding applied by their in-house team in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Dave Musgrove BEM, President of the DSA, said, 'I was delighted to welcome Simon and Leigh from Pantaenius on to Freedom and to receive the gift of the Spinlock Life Jackets. We are looking forward to building a long-lasting relationship with our sponsor'.
Simon Hedley, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Pantaenius UK, said ‘We are so pleased to assist in the excellent work of the Disabled Sailing Association as our nominated local charity. We are excited about developing our collaboration with this amazing cause. We hope to involve our UK staff wherever possible to help on a personal basis as well as to pledge much-needed items’.
