War Horse Event with Michael Morpurgo at Pentillie Castle

On Sunday 2nd July Michael Morpurgo will be telling the powerful and deeply moving story of War Horse accompanied by the highly acclaimed and former War Horse National Theatre songman, Ben Murray atPentillie Castle in Cornwall.

War Horse Only Remembered is a Story Concert of songs and readings retelling the well-known and much loved story of War Horse. Songs were specially composed by John Tams from the National Theatre’s award-winning production. The songs will be interspersed with Michael’s narration of the well known story as seen through the eyes of the horse, Joey.

The event will take place in a marquee at Pentillie Castle, St Mellion, Saltash PL12 6QD. Tickets start from £25 for adults and £15 for children under 12.

Gates open at 5pm.  Homemade refreshments and a bar will be available from 5pm. The performance will begin promptly at 7pm. Concert lasts approx 1 hour 35 mins including a 20 minute interval.
