Plymouth award winning schools meals provider CATERed will be in the city centre on Thursday 13 April offering children and parents the chance to try a selection of dishes from their new spring / summer menu.

Staff will be on hand by the Big Screen on the Piazza in Armada Way this Thursday between 12pm and 1.30 pm with tasters of some of the new and exciting dishes available on the new spring / summer menu.  Come along and try Beef Chilli or Quorn Tikka in mini tortilla cups, a mini muffin and a free piece of fruit and bottle of water.

Managing Director of CATERed, Brad Pearce said: “Although we provide meals for on average 12,500 of primary school children in Plymouth we know that some children and parents haven’t yet tried for themselves just how different Ed’s Super Fantastic School Meals are now.

"We want to take our menu out and about and show parents just how delicious our meals are, and more importantly just how healthy they are. This is all about dispelling myths for us!”

CATERed staff will be on hand along with mascots Ed and Cate to answer any questions parent/carers or children may have about where our food comes from, our menus and cooking from scratch using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients in our schools every day.  Look out for the Radio Plymouth Bus and the CATERed marquee!

Since its launch two years ago, CATERed has gone from strength to strength and in the last 12 months’ the company has been shortlisted and won a number of awards including Local Authority Caterer of the Year 2016 and Catering Business of the Year 2016.

CATERed are also shortlisted locally in the Large Business of the Year 2017 category for The Herald Business Awards and nationally for the Cost Sector Catering: Training and Apprenticeship Award 2017.  Both awards take place on 20 April in Plymouth and London respectively so its fingers crossed.
