Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust have announced that the Gold Dust Appeal has been awarded a grant of £5,000 from Global’s national charity, Make Some Noise.

The Gold Dust Appeal is one of 100 children’s and young people’s charities from across the UK benefitting from Global’s Make Some Noise, who are funding projects which support youngsters who may have been affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Anita Dykes, Matron for Paediatrics said: “We are absolutely delighted to be awarded this fantastic grant, which we will put towards creating a bright and welcoming environment for the children and young people’s area on level 12 of Derriford Hospital.

"We would like to say a huge thank you to the Global’s Make Some Noise charity for their support; this money will really help us to make a difference.”

Emma Bradley, Director for Global, said: “Global’s Make Some Noise is delighted to support Plymouth Hospitals Charity. We’re huge fans of the work that they do, and we’re so pleased that they’ve been part of our inaugural campaign…to make some noise and change young lives.”
