Sea View Art Barn hosts 10 artists for Devon Open Studios this year
Sea View Art Barn is delighted to be hosting a collective of artists again this year for Devon Open Studios.
Following the success of last year's Devon Open Studios, the increasingly popular creative hub near Otterton, is delighted to be hosting ten artists this year. Frances Margaret, Alison Summerfield SWAc, Phil Creek SWAc, Penny Silverthorne, Jan Shayler and James Tatum SWAc will be joined by Ben Honey, Mary Donald, Teresa Creton and Doug Gilding, making it a ten-artist-strong show!
With such a fabulous range of talented local artists featured at a single East Devon venue for the Devon Artist Network’s regional art event of the year, visitors are in for an absolute treat - not only will the art be a feast for the eyes but the location itself is breathtaking!
Situated just a stone’s throw away from Ladram Bay, the gallery space at Sew View is housed in a sympathetically restored barn and offers participating artists an understated yet stunning space to exhibit their work. The original features of the once working barn have been maintained with wooden beams stretching above you and bare stone brick walls, naturally hewn, stretching either side.
The exhibition runs from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th September and is open from 10am to 4.30pm each day. Look out for E9 in the Devon Open Studios brochure or head straight to seaviewartbarn.co.uk where you will find out more about the artists exhibiting, including a programme of demonstrations by James Tatum SWAc and Phil Creek SWAc.
Disabled access to the gallery spaces by an external stair lift is now in place for visitors.
