Plymouth will once again be hosting the annual Ocean City Festival from 8-28 September 2014 across the city.

Plymouth businesses and the local community are invited to connect with and participate in this fabulous 20 day festival.

The fun and vibrant festival will focus on all things relating to the ocean and the organisers are inviting anyone who has an event that fits with their theme to be a part of the spectacular Ocean City Festival.

The festival is designed to offer an exciting programme of events which will appeal to all ages, offering a real variety including:  seafood, exploration, marine science and technology, education with lots to see and do for the whole family.  The festival also has a business side, which focuses on Plymouth’s diverse marine companies and expertise.

Some of the key events will include the Challenger Conference for Marine Science, 8-11 September; Ecover Blue Mile, 13-14 September; Plymouth Seafood Festival, 27-28 September which will include Japan400 Plymouth, with the homecoming of The Clove to Sutton Harbour, and an international film festival by the River Tamar Project It's All About the River, running from 12 September-12 October.

The Ocean City Festival will celebrate everything that makes Plymouth’s waterfront location – and its relationship with the sea – so special, whilst establishing Plymouth’s reputation as Britain’s Ocean City.
