Spring Fair promises to be a taste sensation

Plymouth’s Spring Fair is set to bring a real international flavour to the city centre from Thursday 27 February-Sunday 2 March 2014.

Opening times will be Monday – Saturday 9am – 6pm and Sunday will be from 10am – 5pm. Shoppers will have the opportunity to buy items from all over the world.  The Plymouth City Centre Company, Market Place and Plymouth City Market have teamed up to bring this event to the city. 

Jimmy Bean will be there with his large selection of rich flavoured coffee beans (ground to your liking) along with his large selection of exotic loose leaf teas. Jences will be selling delicious Spanish Paella and the Greek Grill House will offer Greek gyros, meat skewers and a selection of Greek moussaka.

Snowdonia Cheese will be offering a variety of tasty cheeses from all over the world whilst Quignon shall be selling their tasty French breads.

Stefan Krause, City Centre Manager said: “The Spring Fair is a fantastic opportunity for shoppers to enjoy all the sights, smells and tastes of a bustling street market in addition to our popular Plymouth City Market. City Centre businesses will be able to promote their own fantastic produce to those who travel to experience the flair and atmosphere the Spring Fair will create.” 

The Market Place market manager has said “Our traders shall be offering Plymouth a selection of flavours from all across the globe as well as some unique crafts and gifts for the whole family. It shall definitely be the place to be!”

But it’s not all about food; there will also be great craft and gift traders joining in Plymouth including the very popular Dutch Flowers on Tour who shall also be visiting the city with their Dutch Market Garden selling a huge array of plants, shrubs, trees and bulbs. Makela shall also be in Plymouth with their beautiful Traditional Finnish Artisanry, wool, cotton and linen clothing as Rogowski brings some very unique metal sculptures, wine holders & leather diaries.
