Whether you’ve rescheduled your wedding numerous times or this is your first time planning it, you’ll want to make sure you get things right. As well as being a day to remember for you and your partner, you’ll want to make sure it’s memorable for the guests too!

Although there’s no right or wrong way to plan a wedding, we’ve built up some top tips over the years to help make your big day a roaring success. Read on to find out how to create a wedding that guests will remember.

  1. Create some statement invites

Ditch the boring, traditional wedding invites and go for something bespoke instead! Your wedding invitations are the first glimpse your guests will have when it comes to your wedding. Whether you go for a professionally designed bespoke invite or something custom, you’re sure to make a great first impression.

  1. Think about your table centrepieces

Even if you have a small budget, you’ll still need to ensure you have a table centrepiece your guests will remember. Some of the most affordable centrepieces use natural materials and flowers to make an impact – and they are also some of the most memorable. You could also keep the costs down with wooden lanterns, hessian table runners and pretty candles to wow your guests.

  1. Add some personalized decorations

As well as a show-stopping centrepiece, you will need to create some personalised decorations for your table. As well as name cards, why not choose a theme for each table? To go the extra mile, add some cute childhood photographs to your tables!

  1. Create some DIY confetti

If you’re looking to reduce your plastic footprint, you may be thinking of foregoing the confetti – but you don’t need to! Instead of mass-manufactured confetti, why not opt for a natural option instead? Whether you go for dried out flower petals, clippings from your favourite plant or shreds of newspaper, you’ll not only save the planet but also create a memorable wedding too!

  1. Create a winning playlist

If you don’t want to splash out on a DJ, you’ll want to create a winning playlist that creates a good atmosphere while people are eating, drinking and conversing. Although everyone’s taste is different, you can’t go wrong with a selection of top hits!

  1. Create some favours

You don’t need to spend a fortune on wedding favours for them to be memorable. Something as simple as handmade trinkets or even hand stamps can be great gifts that’ll be remembered.

  1. Think about your budget

Last but certainly not least, it’s important to think about your budget.

If you’re struggling to stump up enough cash to pay for your wedding, you could look at alternatives to payday loans.

To narrow down what you can afford, it’s important to think about the 50/30/20 rule. This essentially means that 50% of your income should go on needs, 30% on wants and 20% gets placed in savings.
