The 3 most important items to take to Glastonbury
Have you ever enjoyed the festival experience? Have you ever done the whole Glastonbury ‘thing’? If not, and 2022 is set to be your first, there are a couple of things that you need to know. The first is this: you’re in for the time of your life. You’re about to experience performances from some of the world’s very best artists and enjoy an atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. The second is this: there are some must-have items that you really need to be packing unless you're intent on ruining your five days of Glasto.
Sally Howell (the Croissant Neuf organiser) has recently been speaking with Betway. One comment that she made really highlights the need to get your packing right! In her interview, she states, “With the weather, the biggest problem is the state of the ground can get when it rains”. Who can forget the muddy scenes from Glasto in 2016?

Let’s get into the three must-pack Glasto items now:
Your tickets
Okay, okay, this one is pretty obvious, but we’ve listed it for a reason. Do you think that turning up without tickets is unknown? Do you think that security is going to take pity and admit you when you tell the story of how your tickets get left behind? The answer to both is a resounding “No”.
You’ve used your hard-earned cash to buy these tickets. You’ve planned the best five days of your life with the best friends that you’ve ever had. Don’t sacrifice this chance to make memories that last a lifetime just because you’ve forgotten your tickets. Make sure that they’re packed, and they can’t be lost!
Bin liners
Black bin liners are a pretty amazing invention. We’ve already seen how Sally Howell warns that we should plan for the great British weather, but did you know that a bin line was a big part of that? This glorious invention can act as an impromptu rain mack, as well as providing a weatherproof fix to a leaky tent.
Beyond this, black bin bags have long been used as picnic mats that sit perfectly on mud. If you really want to go out there, then here’s a unique use for this amazing invention: you can even use them to put your rubbish in!
Your tent
No doubt you’ve seen plenty of footage of Glasto and in that footage, you’ll have seen plenty of tents. What you’ll often see are the popup types. The ones that you can literally throw on the ground and suddenly have somewhere to sleep. While these will do the job, you should be looking for more.
Are you wanting to enjoy your morning cider in comfort? Do you want to return home with a back that still works and doesn’t the like hell? Well, you’re going to want to look for a tent that you can at least stand-up straight in. Beyond that, a modest awning is a great touch so that you can eat and drink in the outdoors, while still sheltered.
