Wimbledon day 3: After Laura's day yesterday, Andy is set for second round tie

For British tennis fans, if yesterday was all about Laura Robson, today will see attention turn back to Andy Murray as he faces his second round tie on No. 1 Court.

British women's number one, Robson defeated the tenth seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko in straight sets yesterday 6-3, 6-4, in an exciting demonstration of her potential. Despite some self-confessed nerves, she controlled the game, served superbly and looked every bit the great hope for UK women's tennis.

Women's number one seed and reigning champion Serena Williams cruised into the second round yesterday and men's top seed Novak Djokovic defeated Florian Mayer of Germany in straight sets.

Andy Murray will face Chinese Tapei's world number 75 Yen Hsun-Lu in his second round match today at around 4pm.

Men's hopefuls Federer, Tsonga and Cilic are all in action today, while the women's draw sees second and third seeds Azarenka and Sharapova hope to progress into the third round.
