Museum Event for kids and their 'Yummy Mummies'

Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery is hosting some special art and craft sessions this Saturday (9 March) where children can make handmade gifts and keepsakes to give to their mums on Mother’s Day.

The ‘Yummy Mummy’ event is part of the Museum’s ‘Make and Take’ programme, which gives children of mainly primary school age the opportunity to work with their parents, grandparents or guardians on a variety of activities that will improve their craft skills.

Two 60-minute sessions will be on offer during the day from 11am to midday and 1.30pm to 2.30pm. At each session there will be four different activities on offer and children can make as few or as many gifts as they like within the hour. The activities will include making a pop-up card and a gift bag.

Places on the Yummy Mummy sessions are free but must be booked in advance on 01752 304774.

Make and Take sessions are on offer throughout the year, inspired by other seasonal events such as Father’s Day, Halloween and Christmas. Full details are available on the 'what’s on' pages at www.plymouthmuseum.gov.uk.
