A year of fundraising makes over £6,000 in donations
Big-hearted staff, patient and visitors at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre have excelled themselves by donating more than £6,000 to a range of charities in 2018, from fundraising activities throughout the year.
From craft fairs to bake sales, static cycle rides to pop-up book stores, the generosity from Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre has benefited local and national charities, including Jeremiah’s Journey, Plymouth Drake Foundation and MacMillan Cancer Support.
Most recently fundraising efforts have been in aid of a seriously-ill colleague, who as a result of her illness has had to undergo multiple amputations.
Some of the overall figure includes match funding from Care UK, which runs Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre
Mark White, Hospital Director at Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, commented: “My congratulations go to colleagues who have spent this past year running superb fundraising activities – and my thanks go to them and to everyone who has made a donation resulting in such an impressive overall total. We are a comparatively small hospital, but the commitment we make to supporting local and national causes shows we have a big heart!”
