Wire Fence Supports UK Wild Otter Trust with Fencing to Rebuild New Home
Wire Fence has supported UK Wild Otter Trust in North Devon, by providing a £1,256.64 discount on fencing materials, helping the charity rebuild its otter rehabilitation centre after needing to relocate from its previous site.
On 2nd October 2025, the Trust announced it had to move its North Devon rehabilitation centre after being asked to leave its previous site, which included otter enclosures and a hospital. The charity faced the challenge of relocating all its facilities while still caring for the otters
A new site, generously offered by a supporter, is now nearing completion, with the rebuilt facilities and enclosures expected to be fully ready by April 2026.
Having previously supported the Trust with its original enclosures, Wire Fence was keen to help again. On 9th October 2025, fencing materials were supplied with a £1,256.64 discount, covering part of the cost and helping the Trust construct the new rehabilitation enclosures.
Reconstruction is well underway, with the new otter enclosures almost complete. Recent images from the Trust show the enclosures taking shape, marking a key milestone in the relocation and ensuring vital rehabilitation work can continue without interruption.

Without this support everything is harder to achieve so we are eternally grateful to all involved got this support, allowing many more otters to be rescued and released after the rehab programs are completed."
