West Devon grandmother wins surprise 500l of heating oil
Mrs Caroline Munn, who works for her local Post Office in Hatherleigh, is looking forward to a worry-free autumn and winter thanks to winning 500 litres of heating oil from Okehampton-based Moorland Fuels in its Cosy Heating Club free quarterly oil draw.
Commenting on her unexpected win, Caroline, a married grandparent of two, said: "I had no idea I was entered into the Cosy Heating Club draw. When I spoke to the Moorland Fuels team, I thought there must have been a problem with my payment card. So, it was a huge relief and a wonderful surprise when they told me I’d actually won 500 litres of heating oil simply by being a regular monthly Direct Debit customer. It took my breath away!
“We’ve only recently had a delivery, so we can now look forward to our next refill date in October, safe in the knowledge that we’ll be covered for the coldest months of the year. That’s a huge worry off our minds and means that we can keep the house warm and cosy, especially when our grandchildren, who are three and six, come to visit. They love being out in our large garden, but there’s nothing like coming into the warmth with Nanny.”
Caroline added: “The prize means that we can treat ourselves a little on our next trip to the Balearics in September, but it won’t stop us keeping up with our regular payments as I like to keep on top of things.
